Festival String Orchestra 1

Saturday, July 17, 7:30 PM PDT

$15 – $35

In the first classical concert, Maestro Allan Pollack will lead the string orchestra in Bach’s richly textured Brandenburg Concerto No. 3; Tchaikovsky’s Serenade for Strings in C Major, his clever and elegant homage to Mozart; and Samuel Barber’s poignant Adagio for Strings, “one of the most universally recognizable pieces of American concert music,” which Barber arranged for string orchestra in 1938 from the second movement of his String Quartet, Op. 11.

Proof of completed COVID-19 vaccination, including at least one booster, is required, and masks must be properly worn at all times while on event premises. Though it might exceed official requirements, this policy is based on current conditions and the results of our most recent audience survey.

This concert may be attended either in person, or virtually via livestream. When your ticket order includes a livestream ticket, your confirmation email contains a link that opens a browser-based player. For large-screen viewing, access the email via your smart TV’s web browser. “Casting” your device’s screen to a TV may also be an option.
