Come join a small group of seasoned singers who want to hone their skills and become better at their craft. If you sing in a local chorus, at church, at events, or even privately, this class will help you find better vocal technique and artistry, and will help you refine your voice and performance skills. The class is best for singers who have taken our Basics of Singing course or who have had some private training. All genres will be explored, from Opera to Art Song to Musical Theater and more. Songs will be assigned based on your skill level. Accompaniments will be sent for you to work on your songs in class. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn new repertoire or explore new genres.

All classes are virtual; join in from anywhere!

Instructors: Jenny Matteucci and Daniel Lockert.
Mondays, 10:00 AM-11:30 AM Pacific, January 25-March 15
Registration opens 12:00 PM PST Friday, January 15.

In 2017 Jenny Matteucci, who has an extensive background as a performer, choral director, and voice teacher, became the Festival Chorus Master. Along with Jenny came her husband, Daniel Lockert, a marvelous accompanist and an outstanding language coach. The artistic leadership of this dynamic duo is a wonderful addition to the Festival, and has made it possible for the Festival to offer an ongoing series of courses in various aspects of singing that have transitioned seamlessly (in response to public health considerations) to virtual courses, accessible from anywhere.
