Can’t tell the difference between a Bb and a flat tire? Have you sung in a choir for years and still don’t know what all the “hashtags” (#) mean? Let us unravel the not so secret code of good musicianship and sight reading. We’ll help make your singing experience more enriching and fun by giving you the tools you need to not only help your whole choral experience but enlighten your musicianship skills as well. Each class will progressively cover different aspects of musicianship and sight-singing.
Mondays, 7:15-8:30, September 16-November 4 (eight weeks).
Instructor: Daniel Lockert
Register for the eight-week course ($80); no drop-ins.
The Festival’s founders envisioned a community of musicians and music lovers; a richly symbiotic atmosphere of mutual learning and shared experience. The Festival Chorus is a vital part of our community of musicians and music lovers; dedicated, skilled amateurs, from around Mendocino County. In 2018 we created the Festival Chamber Chorale, a sixteen voice auditioned ensemble, for singers who want to take choral singing to the next level. And now finally, as part of our emerging vocal music department, we’re excited to offer these classes.
