It is one of his last works\, showing him at his most introspective and thoughtful. The magnificent Brahms Requiem features the Festival Chorus and soloists. Volunteers are at the heart of our production. Over two hundred people serve as door captains\, ticket scanners\, ushers\, and concessions workers. Many more help out at fundraising events\, serve on planning committees and the Board of Directors\, or help with setup. \nAt this in-person sign-up day you’ll be able to sign up for specific concert and non-concert volunteer shifts. The Russian-born composer revolutionized music with his ballets and experiments with rhythm and dissonance. Two concerts (one of which will be performed twice) will be devoted entirely to works by Stravinsky. Chamber Masterpieces will be played in the tent; Stravinsky at Home\, in Preston Hall\, will feature intimate and varied music by the composer\, dedicated to his wives\, children\, and close friends.
