Daniel Lockert will continue with the book Successful Sight Singing as well as enhance the class with the tricks and hacks to make sight singing easier. SUMMARY:Advanced Masterclass (7-week course\, 3/23-5/10; not 4/20)
DESCRIPTION:Come join a small group of seasoned singers who want to hone their skills and become better at their craft. If you sing in a local chorus\, at church\, at events\, or even privately\, this class will help you find better vocal technique and artistry\, and will help you refine your voice and performance skills. Music sung in this class will be solos\, duets\, trios or small ensembles. The class is best for singers who have taken previous MMF voice classes\, or who have had some private training. Music will be assigned to you based on your skill level. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn new repertoire or genres. \nThe final class in this series will be a student public performance on Sunday\, May 10\, at 6:00 PM. \nPLEASE NOTE: Because of the limited class size\, the nature of these classes requires near perfect attendance. The artistic leadership of this dynamic duo is a wonderful addition to the Festival\, and has made possible an ongoing series of courses in various aspects of singing.

SUMMARY:Sight-Singing 3 (7 times\, 3/23-5/11; not 4/20)
DESCRIPTION:The next class for those who attended Sight Singing 2. Daniel Lockert will continue with the book Successful Sight Singing as well as enhance the class with the tricks and hacks to make sight singing easier. This class is designed to help you sharpen your skills as sight readers and musicians. Class is progressive\, so attendance is crucial. As we approach this summer singing season\, don’t miss this chance to become more proficient at this basic skill. The Old American Songs by Aaron Copland score will be used for part of the class. \nA $10 score fee will be collected at the first class. \nPrerequisites: Sight Singing 1 and 2 (or permission of the teacher) \nThe final class in this series will be on Monday\, May 11 from 4:30-5:30; the culmination of the work from these past weeks.  \nPLEASE NOTE: Because of the limited class size\, the nature of these classes requires near perfect attendance. DESCRIPTION:This class is designed for the beginning singer\, who is ready to spread their wings. Music will be assigned based on voice type. New genres and styles will be introduced. Singers will be scheduled to sing for the class and work on songs in a nurturing\, encouraging environment.
