SUMMARY:Masterclass (4th Mondays\, January–April)
DESCRIPTION:The Masterclass returns with a once-a-month “open mic” concept. Class participants can bring in music to sing in front of class with a live pianist. Jenny and Daniel will provide feedback and suggestions in musicality\, performance techniques\, repertoire\, and more. Classical\, Musical Theater\, and Standards are encouraged for this class. Previous masterclass students can bring in pieces previously assigned\, or students can be assigned new pieces. Students must provide sheet music in the correct key for Daniel (the pianist). Auditors welcome. Join us in this fun\, and informative class for singers of all abilities.  \nTwo hours; limit 15 participants; may also be audited. Auditors enjoy watching the process without the pressure\, learn what it takes to put together a song\, and observe each participant progress and improve. \n\nInstructors: Jenny Matteucci and Daniel Lockert.\nMondays\, 10:00 AM–12:00 PM Pacific\, fourth Mondays January–April (1/23\, 2/27\, 3/27\, 4/24)\nIn person and on Zoom.\nMask required for in-person attendance.\nRegistration opens 5:00 PM Pacific Wednesday\, January 11\, 2023.\n\nREGISTER FOR 4-CLASS COURSE\n\n	\n		\nIn 2017 Jenny Matteucci\, who has an extensive background as a performer\, choral director\, and voice teacher\, became the Festival Chorus Master; joined by her husband\, Daniel Lockert\, a marvelous accompanist and an outstanding language coach. The artistic leadership of this dynamic duo is a wonderful addition to the Festival\, and has made possible an ongoing series of courses in various aspects of singing.
