DESCRIPTION:A musical ensemble based in Charleston\, South Carolina\, Ranky Tanky specializes in jazz-influenced arrangements of traditional Gullah music\, a culture that originated among descendants of enslaved Africans along the coast of South Carolina and nearby islands.
