Infrastructure:
$238,354, which includes $46,000 for the tent rental, supplies,
lumber, sanitation units, security wages, crew wages, etc.
Labor:
Labor type: Heavy (moving over 200 sheets of plywood, 850 chairs, etc.)
Labor type: Skilled (building the stage, floor, light booth, side panels)
Labor type: Stage (running the Festival season)
Basically, erecting the Tent Concert Hall and the Concession Tent takes about 2 days. Building the rest of the concert hall requires 15 people for 12 days. Running the Festival season employs 6–8 people per day. When the season ends, 15 people spend a week taking everything down and putting it back in storage.
Direct Community Impact:
Our recent economic impact analysis reported that we brought $2,702,691 to the local economy (Tent Concert Hall production; orchestra musicians’ expenditures while here; attendees accessing lodging and dining, etc.).
Additionally, we supported these entities through fees paid:
California State Parks and MendoParks — $8,087
Space rentals — $11,535
Mendocino Presbyterian Church, Mendocino Unified School District, Caspar Community Center, St. Anthony’s Church.
