French Mélodie (8 times, 10/5-11/23)
For all those that love to sing in French or need to brush up their French, this class will explore the wonderful wealth of songs composed for voice and piano by composers such as Berlioz, Fauré, Duparc, Hahn, Debussy and Poulenc. We will help to perfect your singing pronunciation with the use of the IPA (International Phonetic Alphabet—not a beer!).

In 2017 Jenny Matteucci, who has an extensive background as a performer, choral director, and voice teacher, became the Festival Chorus Master; joined by her husband, Daniel Lockert, a marvelous accompanist and an outstanding language coach. The artistic leadership of this dynamic duo is a wonderful addition to the Festival, and has made possible an ongoing series of courses in various aspects of singing.
