Brahms: Clean-Shaven-2019

Tuesday, July 23, 2:30 PM PDT

| $15 – $30

Susan Waterfall will play the Four Ballades Op. 10; Miles Graber, Larry Lowe, and Jay Zhong will essay the Horn Trio in E-flat Major Op. 40; and Carolyn Steinbuck, Jay Zhong, Tammie Dyer, Susan Freier, and Stephen Harrison will interpret the F minor Piano Quintet Op. 34.

For 2021, the Festival is temporarily transplanted to a new indoor venue, the beautiful 1938 Cotton Auditorium in nearby Fort Bragg. One-hour concerts, no intermission, distanced, limited capacity, proof of vaccination required, masks required. Sell-outs are expected due to limited capacity.

Seats arranged in pairs must be purchased in pairs. Orders containing one of a pair of seats may be cancelled.

For the safety of our patrons, it is the Festival’s choice to maintain distanced seating. Allowing paired seats to be purchased individually would disrupt this aspect of our safety plan, which, for many patrons, is the basis of their decision to attend in 2021. “Waterfall’s productions always present exciting, absorbing playing of great music, but are also rare, distinctive examples of what can be called music education, though they’re more conversational, truly a sharing of perspective, interest, anecdote. There’s a sense of immediacy to her delivery, weaving in and out of the playing, an intimately conceived present awareness of this heritage. It’s something unique that needs to be experienced.” Ken Bullock, Berkeley Daily Planet
