Bululú

Wed, July 22, 2:30 PM

| $15 – $30

A San Francisco Bay Area band recently launched by Venezuelan-born percussionist Lali Mejia and Mexican string expert and vocalist Jose Roberto Hernandez, Bululú exemplifies kindred cultural streams flowing together harmoniously to create something new. The four-piece combo of veteran performers draws on folkloric styles from Venezuelan, Colombian, Chilean, Cuban and other Caribbean cultures, and showcases such flavorful music styles as tamboreras, calipsos, salsa, cumbias, sambas, and tambores de la costa. A vernacular Venezuelan term, Bululú means “a gathering of people from different backgrounds and walks of life.”

Bululú is creating an infectiously grooving new sound.”

- Berkeleyside

As July approaches, we’ll continue following the official recommendations of Mendocino County Health Officer Dr. Noemi Doohan. In the event of cancellation, ticket buyers will be contacted and offered a range of options, including an immediate refund of the full value of their purchased ticket(s).
