Festival Orchestra 1: Shawnette Sulker, soprano; Livia Sohn, violin 2018
Sunday, July 8, 6:00 PM PDT |
$15 – $50
Festival Orchestra with violinist Livia Sohn and soprano Shawnette Sulker
The season opens with Bernstein’s energetic and rhythmic Candide Overture; Copland’s inspiring and melodic Appalachian Spring; Barber’s Violin Concerto; Bernstein songs “New York New York,” “A Little Bit in Love,” “Some Other Time,” “Glitter and be Gay”; and dances from Bernstein’s West Side Story.
For 2021, the Festival is temporarily transplanted to a new indoor venue, the beautiful 1938 Cotton Auditorium in nearby Fort Bragg. One-hour concerts, no intermission, distanced, limited capacity, proof of vaccination required, masks required. Sell-outs are expected due to limited capacity.
Seats arranged in pairs must be purchased in pairs. Orders containing one of a pair of seats may be cancelled.
For the safety of our patrons, it is the Festival’s choice to maintain distanced seating. Allowing paired seats to be purchased individually would disrupt this aspect of our safety plan, which, for many patrons, is the basis of their decision to attend in 2021.
