In 2017 Jenny Matteucci, who has an extensive background as a performer, choral director, and voice teacher, became the Festival Chorus Master. Along with Jenny came her husband, Daniel Lockert, a marvelous accompanist and an outstanding language coach. The artistic leadership of this dynamic duo is a wonderful addition to the Festival, and made it possible for us to launch courses in voice and sight-reading in September 2019. We’re happy to announce our fourth eight-week series of classes, June 8–July 27. It includes two voice masterclasses, a beginning voice class, a weekend workshop in Musical Theater for teens, and the eight-part Lunchtime Lecture series, with topics ranging from the art of accompaniment to talks with composers, recitalists and more.
