Solo Singing for the Meek and Humble (8 times, 1/20-3/9)
This class is designed to help the singer emerge from just singing in the car, the shower, or even in a group, to become a more confident solo singer. Students will learn better vocal techniques as well and interpretive skills to unleash the solo singer buried deep inside. Music will be assigned based on skill level and the song will then be worked in front of the class. This is a safe and supportive environment to become brave and confident.

Mondays, 5:30-7:00 PM, January 20-March 9 (eight weeks).

Proof of completed COVID-19 vaccination, including at least one booster, is required, and masks must be properly worn at all times while on event premises. Though it might exceed official requirements, this policy is based on current conditions and the results of our most recent audience survey.
In 2017 Jenny Matteucci, who has an extensive background as a performer, choral director, and voice teacher, became the Festival Chorus Master; joined by her husband, Daniel Lockert, a marvelous accompanist and an outstanding language coach. The artistic leadership of this dynamic duo is a wonderful addition to the Festival, and has made possible an ongoing series of courses in various aspects of singing.
