Donizetti’s enduringly popular comic opera features a spunky and beautiful landowner, a poor but good-hearted country boy and a puffed up sergeant who vie with each other for her affections, and a quack doctor who specializes in love potions that may bring two of them together. But which two? Beautiful arias and duets fill this two-act opera.
Aurelie Veruni, Adina; Kevin Gino, Nemorino; Alex DeSocio, Belcore; Bojan Knezevic, Dulcamara; Ana Lucas, Gianetta; and the Festival Chorale.
For 2021, the Festival is temporarily transplanted to a new indoor venue, the beautiful 1938 Cotton Auditorium in nearby Fort Bragg. One-hour concerts, no intermission, distanced, limited capacity, proof of vaccination required, masks required. Sell-outs are expected due to limited capacity.
Seats arranged in pairs must be purchased in pairs. Orders containing one of a pair of seats may be cancelled.
For the safety of our patrons, it is the Festival’s choice to maintain distanced seating. Allowing paired seats to be purchased individually would disrupt this aspect of our safety plan, which, for many patrons, is the basis of their decision to attend in 2021.
